IntellMed, Ltd. was founded on October 23, 2006 as a spin-off by employees of the Laboratory of Experimental Medicine (later
the IMTM), and by qualified entrepreneurs with experience in marketing and distribution of bio-diagnostics. The main activity of the company is the production and distribution of in vitro diagnostic reagents intended for customers working in molecular biology and cytogenetics research and/or diagnostics. The manufacturing know-how was licensed from Palacky University.
Our main manufacturing specialty is production of locus-specific and alpha-satellite directly labeled fluorescent DNA probes intended for use in fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). We are further focusing on the processing of other products, especially from the area of molecular genetics (e. g. circulating tumor cells - CTCs diagnostic kits, gene mutations detection systems, etc.). IntellMed, Ltd. offers more than 30 directly labeled fluorescent DNA probes for FISH in two color variants – green and orange. The LSI Her-2/neu (Orange)/CEP17 (Green) kit is used for the analysis of Her-2 gene - one of the most important predictive markers for breast cancer. The LSI EGFR (Orange)/CEP7 (Green) kit is used in the diagnostics of colorectal and lung cancers. Both kits are CE IVD marked and can be used as in vitro diagnostics. Other offered probes can be used for research use only.
In addition to our current portfolio of FISH probes, we offer also development of customized molecular diagnostics for in situ hybridization and PCR based techniques (for instance BRAF mutations CE IVD kit), for further interest please contact our representatives.
IntellMed, Ltd. is certified in accordance to CSN EN ISO 9001:2008 and CSN EN ISO 13485:2003 (GMP). The company offers the CE marked in vitro diagnostics and provides consultation services for other manufacturers on certification of in vitro diagnostics. At the moment, IntellMed, Ltd. has two branch offices in the Czech Republic - in Prague and in Olomouc.
