Students of Secondary Medical School in Olomouc explores our labs

Second-year students from the Secondary Medical School in Olomouc recently visited the Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine as part of their professional training—and got a firsthand look at how modern medicine is shaped.

During the visit, they were given a detailed introduction to the process of developing new drugs—from basic research to clinical application. The students also learned about the principles of advanced molecular diagnostics of cancer, including modern methods for analyzing genetic changes. The excursion offered more than just theory. It gave students a rare opportunity to see how scientific discoveries are translated into practical tools that improve patient care. For many, it was an inspiring glimpse into the future of biomedical research—and perhaps even their own future careers in healthcare and science.
