Replication stress induced cellular senescence in primary fibroblast cell lines
Cellular senescence is defined as a permanent cell cycle checkpoint arrest. The two tumor suppressor proteins indicated in cellular senescence, p16INK4a and p14ARF are encoded on the same locus, although activated independently from each other, as a consequence of various stresses. My study focuses on the identification of the kinetics and mode of their activation upon replication stress.
